My Piece entitled "Mimi-Nashi-Hoichi", written for elec. Piano, elec. bass, and elec. percussion will be performed.

Misuzu Kitazumi-Burns-Kybds Koorosh Daryaie-Percussion Daren Burns-Elec. Bass

This piece is based on the story "Mimi-Nashi-Hoichi" from Lafcadio Hearn's "Kwaidan" collection of Japanese folklore. The story is about a biwa hoshi and the ultimate price he pays when he is tricked into playing his heartfelt music for ghosts. He escapes with his life, but not his ears.
